Bonnie's First Camping Trip

We brought Bonnie out last weekend on her first official camping trip and it was a blast! I was so nervous all week about the trip to the camping site, which is a little over an hour away. I wasn't 100% confident that she'd make it (I can be quite a worry wart), but she did awesome.
During that camping trip I made my first s'more over a campfire. I know, I'm 23 and have never had an actual s'more until last weekend. I plan on having many, many more... it was so delicious.
Also, Kaileigh's grandparents have the most adorable wiener dog ever named J.R. I can't believe I didn't take any pictures of him! I officially want a wiener dog now.

After working on Bonnie all spring, it was nice to actually hang out in her at nighttime and play games, listen to good music, and enjoy great conversation. It's nice seeing all our hard work pay off and seeing it all come together.
On Wednesday we leave for Manchester, TN where we'll be at Bonnaroo until the following Monday! We are beyond thrilled about it and we've barely talked about anything else for the past month.
This weekend is going to be full of packing and preparing for the big trip, expect tons of pictures when we get back. I'm so ready for the time of our lives!

xo

P.S - After uploading the photos, I realized I have yet to share with you guys pictures of the inside of our motorhome. I plan on fixing that issue soon, she's just so cute inside!

New Art - Sugar Cones

I've been pretty busy lately... all of my free time has been devoted to wedding planning, my art and (most of all) preparing Bonnie for Bonnaroo! I snapped some new pictures of her since fixing her up that I plan on sharing soon :) Next weekend Chad and I are taking her out on our first camping trip in the motorhome with my best friend, Kaileigh, her boyfriend Micah and her family. I am so excited and can't wait to share pictures of the weekend!
Well, I'm off to work on a secret project I've been doing... I hope you you all had a wonderful weekend :)

OUR WEDDING VENUE! - Krippendorf Lodge

First Time Ever I Saw Your Face by Johnny Cash on Grooveshark

Chad and I just got back from seeing our second wedding venue and I must say... we are in love!
From the moment we arrived at Cincinnati Nature Center I knew that this is where I want to say "I do."
People say that you'll know when you see the place, and I now know that feeling. This place is everything we could hope for and more. It has the perfect amount of space for our guests and it's absolutely stunning. There was character spilling out of this venue...

The wrap-around porch was magnificent, it can seat up to 100 guests. In-between the pillars the lodge hangs metal lanterns with candles.
This is the "Water Tower", where a lot of the pre/post wedding photos will be shot. That door makes me squeal. So adorable.

I love how the lodge is surrounded by nature. The views are breathtaking... we saw about ten squirrels and chipmunks, and there were butterflies fluttering everywhere!

The inside was just as beautiful as the outside (minus the surrounding). It has polished hardwood floors throughout, a fireplace, and walls lined with built in bookshelves.
Basically, this place is going to give us the wedding of our dreams. We're so thrilled...

I hope you enjoyed the sneak peek of our wedding venue!
There will be lots more wedding chat around this neck of the woods soon ;)

A Sneak Peek...

Of my new blog, coming soon!
It's been quiet around here lately. I've been taking a break to spend some time on setting goals and making plans for a small business I'm starting! I'm starting fresh with a blog full of pretty pictures, DIY projects, and more posts about my life!
Aside from that I've also recently started a new job, and have been spending time fixing up the motorhome, and making wedding plans (!!!) but things will be back to normal soon.
I can't wait to share more!
Just thought I'd pop in to give a lil' update about what's been going on in my little corner.

xo!

Bonnie Update 3 / COLOR!

Today was a really fun day for me! I finished painting all the cabinets and got them all hung back up, and I'm loving the new look! It's all done in chalkboard paint (!!!) which will be so much fun. I can't wait to share with you what I plan on drawing on the cabinets. It's going to be so cute. In the photos the paint on the cabinets above the couch/dining area look blue but the color is actually a very pretty teal.

I gathered the before and after photos of the outside of the cabover to share as well...

Before
After
Isn't that nuts?!
Chad and his dad did such an incredible job with the cab-over, I'm still quite blown away at the results!
Tomorrow we're re-caulking the windows and grilling out for St. Patties day, I'm excited and will continue to share our progress! I hope you have an awesome weekend :)

Bonnie Update 2

Oh, boy! Today was such a productive day, I'm so happy. Chad and I woke up early and headed over to his parents where we met his dad... then the three of us headed over to Bonnie to get started on that dreadful cab-over. Here is a reminder of what it looked like before. Oh geez... I was really nervous about seeing his dads reaction when he saw the damage in person, but he was very optimistic about it and we got started right away. It was really fun taking progress pictures. After I uploaded what's on my camera I realized I left a lot out so when we go back up there in the morning I'll be sure to take more photos of what we (mainly Chad and his dad) did.

Here's what the cab-over looked like after all the wood was removed.
I also removed all the cabinets/drawers to get ready for the painting.
It was all uphill after that!
We have the base wood down, and there is a bit to go but it looks SO much better!
I am extremely thankful everyone is so willing to help me with this project... there aren't many things better than the feeling of support from people you love.

Well, I'm off to bed. I'm exhausted and sore, and we have another day of this tomorrow.
I can't want to get more done :) It makes my heart so full.
